You will not be disappointed by this film. From the epic views and the ever changing landscape to the story of these young men taking on one the most beautiful trails in the world. High Sierra HD is one of the best trail films I have ever seen. As a fellow hiker, I wanted to grab my pack immediately and jump on a plane for Yosemite. If you love hiking or just love the outdoors, you won't be disappointed. Buy it!
An OUTSTANDING film!!
I have watched the movie twice so far and will watch it again, many times, I'm sure! This is the best film of a backpacking trip on the John Muir Trail you will ever see! Having been on portions of that trail back in the 1970s as a teenager it brought back a lot of memories for me. I especially related to all the talk about food (or lack of food). I recall going through the same transformation from pain and suffering to appreciation of the beauty and grandeur just as some of the boys did in the film.
This is truly a beautiful experience to see - you won't regret it.

Excellent film!!
I loved the film. I liked the Shelton Johnson interview breaking the trip up into chapters, great way to get some trail/ John Muir history into the story...very well done. Excellent photography, I could tell that the filmmakers put a lot of effort into getting good shots.
