Excellent resource for teachers of international schools
All international schools are cross-cultural environments. Students leave the culture of the local community and enter a new world in these walls. This film helps to address the unique needs of students in cross cultural environments. Of course, the main focus is on Third Culture Kids. But, most international schools have many hidden TCKs even though caregivers never seem to know what that means. This film can help any teacher / caregiver enrich his or her understanding of the unique needs of such hidden immigrants and their peers. Many times, international teachers see a sea of students with the same color skin and assume that students are united by culture. This film can address that blind-spot as well as help broaden caregivers' understandings of how cross-cultural experiences are different for children than for adults.
