iClear Delivers The Goods
I have studied martial arts for quite a long time. In my later years, I have taken up Tai Chi Chuan because of some age and profession related physical limitations. I discovered Sigung Clear's work while searching for applications of Tai Chi to self defense. I have been a fan and a student ever since, even visiting his school in Tennessee. He has an excellent presentation and a far-reaching set of experiences and skills in a number of the martial arts, developed over thirty years of active study and instruction. If you wish to study the self-defense side of Tai Chi, and you really want to learn at home, Clear is your guy. I highly recommend any of his DVD courses. They deliver what they advertise.
For the student who wants to learn how to fight instead of doing form work or standing practice.
So in the interest of full disclosure, I helped make these videos and I've been a student of Sigung Clear for several years.
This video is part 2 in a 4 volume set on the internal arts. You don't need the first video to understand this one. However if you are completely new to the martial arts or you find yourself struggling with any of the stuff on this video just get Volume 1 Kun Tao Silat and that should help.
What this DVD does NOT have: Forms.
If you are looking for sets or better ways to do standing practice you should look somewhere else.
The video starts by teaching you how to hit with more power. Then it jumps right into the fighting methods of the 5 elements.
